We start from Passo San Boldo.
The route runs partly along the north side, overlooking the Valbelluna, and partly along the south side, facing the plain. Crossing from one side of the ridge to the other, we'll experience a real shift in climate and vegetation.
Depending on the season, we may come across a different variety of flowers, ranging from gentians to hyacinths, and from daffodils to anemones.
We'll make a short stop at the Costacurta hut/bivouac (1,060 m), and a longer one at the Vallon Scuro hut/bivouac (1,200 m). We'll then set off again for the last bivouac, the Loff bivouac (1,130 m), a very distinctive spot tucked into the rock.
A loop that's never too demanding, with flat stretches that make the walk an enjoyable one. Just a little extra care is needed when, from Forcella Foran, we start the descent on the south side along the Trail del Gevero.
