We set off from Misurina.
Despite the crowds always present in this popular tourist spot, we'll manage a particularly secluded stretch that takes us to Forcella della Neve, in the heart of the Cadini, among spires, pinnacles and rock towers.
We'll be walking on the seabed of a perfectly preserved marine atoll, pushed up out of the water some tens of millions of years ago.
At Rifugio Città di Carpi we'll stop for a well-earned break, then continue on for the final stretch, where new horizons will open up with Dolomite groups not yet seen in the first part of the route.
